TO RICH GIVERS

What you give me I cheerfully accept

A little sustenance,a hut and garden,a little money,as I rendezvous with my poems

A traveler's lodging and breakfast as I journey through the states

Why shold I be ashamed to own such gifts?why to advertise for them

For I myself am not one who bestows,nothing upon man and woman

For I bestow upon any man and woman the entrance to all the gifts of the universe

به بخشندگان توانگر

آنچه به من می دهید با سرخوشی می پذیرم

آنگاه که با شعرهای خود وعده ی دیدار می گذارم.تکه ی نانی.کلبه و باغچه ای و اندک پولی.و آنگاه که از ایالت ها

می گذرم.مسافرخانه ای و صبحانه ای

چرا از پذیرفتن چنین هدایایی شرمنده باشم؟چرا باید برای به دست آوردن آنها سؤال کنم؟

چون من خود کسی نیستم که چیزی به زنان و مردان نبخشم

چون من به هر مرد و زنی راه دست یافتن به تمامی نعمت های جهان را می آموزم.
